Faeblight: Que times are beyond ridiculous.

For the past couple of weeks I've been hearing of folks having extremely long que's trying to get into game. Up until 2/18 I had not experienced this. Yet for the past 3 days I've been experiencing 20+ minutes que time to log in.

As of this exact minute, I've been stuck in que for 52 minutes and still above 100 in que.

I am sure there are alot of folks like myself who do not have alot of time to play at times and would like to log on to pass the time away for a few moments, but when you're expected to have to wait an ave of 30 minutes to log in, well something needs to be done.

Does this involve transferring off the shard? Waiting it out to see how long it takes for Trion to address this and/or wait for folks to get fed up and go elsewhere?

You can look at most the posts on the Faeblight forums and see all the complaints about this and yet no Dev has spoken up about it.

This leads me to believe it's not a problem in Trion's eyes.

I won't even start about all the bots running around now and even after reporting multiple times to GM's and other folks reporting them also, they are still there. You receive a response from GM's, "Thank you for bringing this to our attention, this will be taken care of. It is players like you who help better this game by reporting abuses of the EULA".

A week later and they are still there. (shrugs)

I've been a member of Gaiscioch for a while now, although I never registered until about 4 months ago. I would hate to see folks get so frustrated they start heading elsewhere just to be able to log in.

So enough of my venting, I'm now down to about 98 in que and still 15 minutes left to wait. So much for attending Family events.

Hopefully, it doesn't come to that -- but I was pretty bummed myself after missing the River of Souls event Phase 2 & 3 due to short event times and loooooong queues.

I've played alot of various games over the years and there always seems to be issues like this when combining servers and/or free weekend/trials. Although I was upset over the 1hr log-in time, I do understand that generally this will only last a couple of weeks at most.

One reason is that alot of folks will get tired of the que times and transfer to new servers and the "rumored" full guild transfers that came to Faeblight will possibly move to a different server due the the que's. From past experience this is why companies don't immediately up the server slots because they know it will eventually even itself out again. This happened on DaoC, WoW, trying to remember if EQ was this way, and I heard the it happened on Warhammer also.

So for the time being we just all need to be patient and ignore dorks like me when I vent.

I blame the impatience yesterday due to lack of wife being around and soloing the baby from 7am-9pm with only 2 hours sleep the night before. *whistles innocently* But wife made up for it with bringing home BBQ Ribs.

You know, I think if my ol' lady ever brought home decent BBQ, especially ribs, I might marry her.

I put in a ping to Hal to look into it. It does seem odd that we have queue's but when you wander around there's nobody to be found.

I agree with you about not seeing a lot of people online. Unless they are all in dungeons, which I doubt, something could be amiss with the que system. Perhaps it's all the bots running around *eyeroll*. I know of 4 specific locations I could go at any time of day or night and there will be a group of at least 5 bots all together running the same pattern. This has been reported numerous time, but nothing happens other than a thank you email.

But enough with the bot rants, could be something up with the que system Trion may be or may not be aware of. I do know there has been some issues as of late with some patching issues and random log-in bugs, so perhaps this has affected the que also.

i have had the que issue my self but only around 7 pm est to 10 pm est. I have not had the Que issue at any other time. I figure peek hours. I don't care for it and waiting 30+ minuts on average when i only have an hour to play is a problem. I am in the process of down loading game as well and it at 75kbs. funny when I am on fiber. LOve the new mobo hate the install process

I spotted no fewer than 34 bot mages in Scarwood yesterday, all farming hides.
I reported them all. The ridiculous thing was they were all following each other around in a gigantic circle :P
