Aion game client - is this it?

So, the client that we currently have installed (used for open beta last week) is this the final game client?

Has anyone seen any updates where we have to erase the beta client and reinstall an updated version or anything like that?

Please let me know if you have any information. I start moving after work tonight and my computer will not be up and running until Thursday evening at the earliest, so if there's another download I need to get I want to get started ASAP.

*cheers*

This version is the same that K-AION is running right now (1.5.0.4 or something like it)... They have a patch already on the work there with captchas for anti-bot gathering and chain skills personalization, but it should be a small download if released before head start.

Don't worry, you will not need to download the client again. =P

Yeah I can't imagine they'd make us re-download it. It'd be too much stress on their systems. :)

I believe as long as your current (version 1.5.0.5) you should be all good for Fridays pre-selection.

I'm not leaving Warhammer Blockhead :) I will play Aion quite a bit the first week or so just to get established, but I am enjoying Warhammer quite a bit and am looking forward to us taking the Inevitable City together someday. I see no reason I can't play both, though I will probably fall behind the main crowd that goes to Aion leveling...that's cool I'm kinda used to it :)

Pulitzer - your reply was what I had hoped to hear. Thank you!

New info

Greetings!

As we draw closer to tomorrow I wanted to give everyone a brief update on the progress of our live version. We are excited to announce that we will be serving out the final update for you to patch within the next few hours. You will be able to use this version for both our Preselection and our Head Start. We are very excited with our final product and think that you will be as well!

Below are the release notes for the patch you will see later today:

- Aion now features all three languages French, German and English. To select your language simply right click on Aion within your launcher and go to Properties->Language Options. Please select which languages you wish to download and which you wish Aion to display.

- After analyzing our open beta test results Aion will not feature GameGuard at launch. We will however continue to pursue ways to effectively utilize GameGuard within Aion in the future. Right now we're focused on providing players with the best possible Aion experience.

- The level cap is now level 50 (previously 45).

- Players will be able to reserve 2 character names during Preselection and create 8 characters in total once Head Start begins and beyond.

- Channels will be set to 10 instances for the beginning 2 zones of each faction. Please note that these will be lowered as characters progress and spread throughout Atreia.
